Kanwar Yatra Traffic Advisory: Avoid These Roads in Delhi-Noida

New Delhi: In light of the upcoming Kanwar Yatra pilgrimage, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for commuters to avoid certain roads in the Delhi-Noida area to prevent traffic congestion and ensure smooth movement of devotees.

Roads to Avoid in Delhi:

– NH-24 (Delhi to Ghaziabad)
– Delhi-Meerut Expressway
– NH-9 (Delhi to Sonipat)
– NH-10 (Delhi to Faridabad)

Roads to Avoid in Noida:

– Noida-Greater Noida Expressway
– Dadri Road
– Kalindi Kunj Road

The advisory urges commuters to use alternate routes to reach their destinations during this period. The traffic police will be deploying additional personnel along the affected roads to manage traffic and ensure the safety of devotees.

The Kanwar Yatra is an annual pilgrimage where devotees collect holy water from the Ganges River in Haridwar and carry it back to their homes. This year, the yatra is expected to attract a large number of pilgrims, hence the need for traffic regulations and crowd management.
