Upcoming Electric Cars in 2024 for the Indian Market

With the rising demand for electric vehicles in India, several car manufacturers are focusing on introducing new EVs. Here are some of the most anticipated electric cars expected to enter the Indian market in 2024:

Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai’s vehicles enjoy strong popularity in India. The electric version of the Hyundai Creta, one of their most popular SUVs, is expected to be launched in early 2025. It will likely compete with the Tata Curvv EV and will be positioned in the mid-SUV segment.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV

Mahindra launched the ICE-powered XUV 3XO earlier this year. The electric variant is expected to follow suit soon. It will be a compact SUV, competing directly with the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV. The XUV 3XO EV may offer a range of up to 300 km and could launch in India by next year.

Tata Curvv EV

Tata Motors unveiled its much-anticipated Curvv EV recently. It is scheduled to be launched in India on August 7, 2024. The Curvv EV promises to be an upgrade over the Tata Nexon EV, with enhanced styling and features. Pricing details have yet to be revealed.

Maruti Suzuki eVX

Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest carmaker, is also gearing up to enter the electric car market. The Maruti Suzuki eVX was showcased at the Auto Expo and is expected to be launched early next year. It aims to rival the upcoming electric car offerings from Tata and Mahindra. However, pricing information is not yet available.
